Rain Haze II
Rain Haze II, from our perspective, signify a pivotal moment in our creative journey. In 2006, Chang Keng-Hau and Chang Geng-Hwa presented Woodpecker at MoCA TAIPEI, depicting a symbiotic relationship with trees that benefited both. This piece later became the starting point of Project Woodpecker. It gently taps, evoking and reactivating the sites of memory embedded in objects or spaces no longer in use. This time, we combined Return to Representation, a sound installation displayed at Jinguashi Geological Park, with Rain Haze from 2017. We also personally visited the seaside to find suitable marine debris. For us, sound is a texture that feels very "Taiwanese"—humid, delicate, and capable of penetrating every interstice of daily life. So, we created the sounds of rain: standing onsite, it feels like an afternoon shower that never ends, with raindrops continuously falling, each carrying the weight of memory and the lightness of flow.

Collaboration, for us, is how new connections enter the system. It's not just about making a work— but about building a relationship together. If you're looking for organic and unexpected connections, let's start a conversation.
