We created a sun.
Since 2010, it has traveled the world with us, adapting to collected lighting fixtures based on local contexts—ranging from household lamps to streetlights. Combining recycling with electronic control, this work demonstrates a dialogue between material and environment. These lights, once serving humanity and now discarded, are reassembled to create a vacuum field of light. Observing, enjoying, and reflecting, everything seems to become quiet when light encounters embrace. For Solar XI – Solar・MoCA TAIPEI of 2025, recycled tablets are used as carriers of light to explore how modern people are exposed to multiple sources of information—from the internet, social media, algorithms, to AI. The ubiquitous digital blue light, like sunlight, once again engages us in dialectics and perception.
